Day 3 - Seaside Heights ~ Atlantic Ocean
The umbrella was a necessity in 90 plus heat!
Day 4 - All day Mission Conference
The missionaries spent the morning hours rotating through outdoor games.
Dad and David played frisbee while Kristi, Ellie and I relaxed on the green grass.

Day 5 - Morristown, New Jersey
We went to Morristown National Historical Park which commemorates the sites of General Washington and the Continental army’s winter encampment of December 1779 to June 1780, where they survived through what would be the coldest winter on record.
Afterward we had a picnic lunch.
We enjoyed the children's garden. Each raised bed belongs to a child.

Found this great hole in the wall diner called Everest.

Dad and David played another round of frisbee golf while Kristi and I kept our eyes on the cicadas! Making sure they didn't land on us or Ellie!
Then we went to the beautiful Frelinghuysen Arboretum!
We enjoyed the children's garden. Each raised bed belongs to a child.

After the Arboretum, we spent a few hous in the mission office.
David helped dad put together zone orders for mission supplies.
I entered baptismal records into the computer.
Kristi cut out Plan of Salvation visual aids.
Ellie was the star of the show.
Day 6 - New York City
First stop - 911 memorial
Dad dropped us off and we got in line to get our tickets for the memorial.
He found a place to park with sleeping Eleanor in the car.

Next adventure - walk across the Brooklyn Bridge!
The umbrella kept the sun off of sleeping Ellie.
At the half way point we turned around - to hot to keep going!

We left NYC in rush hour traffic and it took us 2 hours to get home.
Glad for the car's AC and good company and a sleeping Ellie.
Day 7 - Bayonne
Dad and David helped all morning at the Branch Service project - picking up trash in one of the city parks. Kristi did laundry plus we took a walk to the Rite Aid store and found Bayonne souviners.
We also found Bucatini at a local Italian import store for them to pack home.
To sum up our week ~ It was like heaven on earth!
did you go to the place where saw bought the chicken leg "one pound chicken leg??? one pound?" "NO, ONE chicken leg, just ONE." yum yum!
