Making Apple Cider

A fun day with the Wagstaff's pressing apples with their landlord's vintage cider press.
The Wagstaff's invited their friends the Swiney's to join them. The Swiney's brought along a newer cider press so there were two presses working at once.

Cutting out bad parts.

The contraption on top of the table grinds the apples into bits.
The bits are then put into the press.

Washing apples and cutting out bad parts.
Hey, is Sara the only one working here?

A quick kiss for Peter.

Pouring fresh pressed cider into a jug.

Washing apples.

Are his muscles bulging?

Putting apples into the grinder.

Relaxing with Peter.

The finished product.  Yummy fresh apple cider.

  3. The family she invited brought most the apples. The Wagstaff's ended up with 4 gallons out of the 13 gallons pressed. With so many helpers the work was done in about 3 hours.
