Catching up

Thought it was about time to update our blog.

These are photos from the past 2 months.

 We took a scenic drive up north to the highest point in New Jersey hoping to see some beautiful fall colors. Unfortunately, most of the leaves had already turned. I cheated on the photo above and enhanced the color.  The photo below is more like the colors we saw.

 This monument marks the highest point in New Jersey.  It says: "To the glory and honor and eternal memory of New Jersey Heroes by land and sea and air in all wars of our country."

 From the monument you have a 360 degree view looking out on three states - New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. I cheated and enhanced the color on this photo, too.

 We stopped in at the visitor's center and saw this display of bird's eggs and nests.

We have a new assignment in the mission.  We are now the housing coordinators over 126 apartments.  The number will soon go up to 140.  We spent about 4 days organizing and inventorying the items in the rented storage unit.  The items are used to furnish apartments for missionaries.

I was so excited to find a boxed up Christmas tree and ornaments in the storage unit!

Under the tree is a gift to me from dad ~ a beautiful nativity!
