We enjoyed a preparation day with President and Sister Kelly and the Marcuccis at Ostia Antica just 50 minutes away from Rome.
Ostia Antica is a large archeological site that was the harbour city of ancient Rome... At the mouth of the River Tiber, Ostia was Rome's seaport, but, due to silting and a drop in sea level, the site now lies 3 kilometres from the sea. The site is noted for the excellent preservation of its ancient buildings, magnificent frescoes and impressive mosaics.
Elder Burt in the "cemetary".
A "family plot" above with a nich for everyone's ashes.
Original road with wear marks from the carts.
Antique carpeting a.k.a. mosaics
Over looking the gymnasium.

Reminds me of Hadrien's palace outside Rome. It was my favorite place when I visited Italy!
