We had the privilege of once again helping Brother Guidara with his olive harvest - the community oil press will close this week and he had 30 trees left to harvest (from his 300).

Shriveled olives hold as much oil as non-shriveled (the later in the season they are harvested the more shriveled they become - less water retention).

wow..love the beautiful weather you had..and what wonderful photos...oh I miss homemade olive oil and real italian food..we lost power last night and had a big wind storm and they say another is on the way..;)do you miss this?..have a great week..and his hair looks good...:>)
