My happiest "prize" was going on the temple site. Our apartment is only 10 minutes away, so we pass it often, but this was my first time to walk on the soon-to-be temple grounds.

When new missionaries come then "old" missionaries go.
The last thing I was able to do for Elder DeRuvo was to mend his pants. He busted the seam playing soccer with kids from the English Class.

Elder Helding and his new companion Elder Cangialosi invited us to help teach a new investigator in the main metro/train station called Termini. It was an awesome experience to meet Osakpolor Usenbor from Nigeria and to participate in the lesson.
Afterwards, we joined the Anziani (Elders) for Kebabs.
A kebab is similar to a burrito served on a tortilla or bun.

While in Roma Centro we visited the Spanish Steps...

The design, a small boat, was inspired by the flooding of the Tevere in 1598, when a small boat stranded here after the water subsided.

ReplyDeleteWow Love the photos!!! those chocolate eggs are something else aren't they..the family we lived with the first year we were there..brought us the huge ones...alot of chocolate..we love the "kinder" eggs and the little toys..you should send some of those home to your grandchildren.,;)have a wonderful Easter.:)

ReplyDeleteHappy Easter....we are so jealous....no signs at all of Easter here....nothing from family in the way of cards or notes...sometimes it just feels a little hard. But good for you guys. Sounds like your family is really in touch with you and I am sure that helps alot.
