This is our landlord Mario and his wife Jovanna who invited us to their home for some "refreshment". We look forward to the invitation they have extended to show us the Rome most people miss and to also see Jovanna's facinating place of work.
Sister's Crawford and Kelly preparing the zone conference lunch. BQ chicken sandwiches - a big hit - along with the American chips bought at the Navy Base.
Friday night date at our apartment with the other couples.
The arm of the stuffed chair (near the glass doors) served as the eighth chair (we are living like newly weds again).
On Saturday, we went with Marisa to see some Roman ruins in the Sabine Hills.
Checking out some broken pottery.
An ancient community used to live on this flat plane.
Foundation of former walls.
Marisa thinks the round foundation was filled with water.
Standing near the edge of the flat plane, we walked down the side to see this...
