We have been very busy! It is amazing to be on the front lines - behind the scenes (is that an oxymoron?) of what it takes to combine two large missions into one and to keep it running with as few glitches as possible!

My "mission age" is the same as Georgia Vaccarono.She was born the week after we arrived.

Notice the "pies" on the table. This is a typical Italian pie. Jam with pastry criss-crossed on top.
This sliced eggplant (melanzana) will be cooked on a Forman Grill and then added to a maranade of olive oil with diced garlic and parsley. Great side dish.

A surprise ambush when we were lined up for a group photo! The Vaccarono family had prepared water balloons for the children to throw at us! Then all heck broke loose as everyone went for buckets of water to join in the fun!

ReplyDeleteSounds like wonderful fun-- water balloons! I'm sure it cooled everyone off. You have made some special friends in Italy. Sounds like you are working very hard, too. I pray for you and all the missionaries every night. I love & miss you.
oh that food looks so yummy...to taste real italian food again...you will surely miss it when you return homw..;) thanks for sharing all the photos.;)
